Roger Croome



Roger is a former Superintendent, retiring from the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) as the Commandant in charge of Hendon Driving School. Hendon driving school is the largest police driving school in the UK, responsible for training all MPS personnel in all forms of driving including high speed pursuit, blue light, motorcycle and anti hi-jack driving. Roger spent over 20 of his 32 years service at Hendon Driving School.

During his career Roger Instructed and tested at the driving school on advanced cars and motorcycles and was a DSA authorised tester for HGV and PCV’s. He also chaired the National Driving School Committee, helped re write the police drivers handbook ‘Roadcraft’ and received the Queens Police Medal for Services to Police and Public Road Safety.
